Picsart Launches AI Agent Marketplace

by Sakshi Dhingra - 12 hours ago - 3 min read

Picsart, the AI‑powered creative platform used by millions of creators worldwide, has officially launched an AI agent marketplace that enables users to “hire” specialized artificial intelligence assistants for creative and operational tasks. The company unveiled this new marketplace , as part of its strategy to help creators automate repetitive workflows across design, social media, and e‑commerce work.

Marketplace Lets Creators Deploy Task‑Focused AI Agents

The new marketplace allows creators to select and work with AI assistants tailored for specific tasks rather than relying on a single, generic tool. Initially, Picsart is launching with four dedicated agents:

Flair – integrates with Shopify to analyze online store data, recommend improvements to product visuals, and (in future updates) run A/B testing and highlight under‑performing products.

Resize Pro – automatically resizes images and videos for optimal display across platforms, using generative extension to avoid awkward crops.

Remix – applies consistent visual styles (e.g., “vintage film,” “watercolor,” “cyberpunk”) across photo libraries.

Swap – performs bulk background replacements and photo edits.

Picsart plans to add new AI agents weekly, expanding the marketplace’s capabilities over time.

Automation and Workflow Benefits for Creators

According to the company, the marketplace is designed to help creators focus more on strategy and creativity by removing repetitive manual tasks. Unlike traditional one‑off AI tools, these agents can work asynchronously—building plans, executing tasks, and surfacing results for approval. Picsart’s CEO Hovhannes Avoyan explained that agents shift creators away from being operators in every workflow step to becoming directors of AI‑assisted execution.

Many agents can also be accessed through messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram, allowing creators to interact with their AI assistants even when they’re away from the main editor interface.

Pricing, Plans, and Access

While Picsart offers a free tier with limited AI credits, most agent‑based workflows will likely require a paid subscription, which starts at about $10 per month with annual billing. The agents' use is expected to be included as part of these premium tiers.

Managing Autonomy and AI Risks

AI‑based assistants can occasionally generate unintended outputs or “hallucinate” due to the nature of large language models. Picsart addresses this by introducing adjustable autonomy levels, letting creators choose how much control an agent has before acting. This includes settings where human approval is required before any AI action is carried out.

Context: Picsart’s Role in the Creator Economy

Picsart has a global user base of more than 130 million creators, with much of its audience being Gen Z and social media professionals. The platform’s continued adoption of AI tools reflects broader trends in creative software, where automation and AI assistance are increasingly critical for scaling content production.

From simple photo editing to complex content workflows, Picsart now aims to offer a scalable system where creators can effectively delegate work to agents and spend more time designing, planning, and innovating.
