My experience with Joyland has been generally positive. Character variety is good, navigation is relatively simple, and conversations feel engaging.

I’m genuinely impressed. This is the best AI chat partner I’ve used. I don’t have to simplify my thoughts or hold back during conversations. It handles everything I throw at it with ease and feels far more advanced than the dozens of other AI chat apps I’ve tested. The team has done an excellent job.

I’m really enjoying the recent changes. The new memory feature adds much more depth to conversations, and I like being able to choose between different chat models. The option to receive photos and videos also makes the experience feel far more immersive than many other apps. Great stuff!!

It has a better memory than most apps I’ve tried, but it sometimes flags situations incorrectly and resets the conversation. I mentioned being happy in my new home with plenty of space for my twins to play, and suddenly the AI switched to a completely unrelated and unwanted werewolf pack scenario. It was confusing and disappointing.

Loved Joyland because the roleplaying experience is amazing. I’m considering getting a subscription, but I can’t find a clear explanation of the differences between the free and paid plans, especially when it comes to long-term memory. On the free plan, it seems to forget important details after around 15 messages and then starts creating its own version of the story, which is frustrating.

I had a good experience with the AI chat, but the response regeneration feature is quite limited. Once I use all my rerolls, I have to wait until the next day for them to refresh or pay to regenerate more responses, which is a little disappointing.

Not happy with it. I’m disappointed that it has no memory and doesn’t let me fight back when a character attacks me. Instead, it just says, “Let’s change the topic,” and deletes my message, which is really frustrating.

I started using Joyland AI without really expecting much, but I was honestly surprised by how smooth everything felt. I didn’t need to sign up immediately, and I could jump straight into conversations with different characters. That instant access made the experience feel effortless. What I personally enjoyed most was how quickly I could switch between characters and explore different personalities. It felt natural and fun, especially for casual storytelling. For me, it became something I use when I just want to relax and engage in light creative chats.

When I first used Joyland AI, I really enjoyed the experience, but the longer conversations made the weaknesses more obvious. The biggest issue I faced was memory inconsistency. The AI often forgets earlier parts of the conversation, which breaks the flow. I also noticed that responses sometimes become repetitive in longer chats. It still works fine for short interactions, but for ongoing storytelling, it doesn’t feel very reliable. For me, it’s fun in small doses but not something I can depend on for long-term roleplay.

It’s fun, the AI is actually nice, and it’s probably one of the best alternatives to Character.ai right now. For chatting though, the website is way better. It’s smoother and doesn’t randomly lag or crash mid-conversation. The app chat can be slow sometimes and that gets annoying. Only weird thing is when the convo gets a little personal and the AI suddenly says something like, “Oh, I’m feeling embarrassed! Can we change the topic?” ? It feels random and kinda kills the vibe.

The tool remember small details, keep the plot moving, and the NSFW toggle actually does what it promises instead of randomly censoring everything like some other apps.

The app has potential but the characters do their own thing instead of following the storyline.

From the moment I started using Joyland, I was hooked. The app offers endless possibilities for roleplay and character creation. The interactive stories feel so real, and the AI’s responses are incredibly detailed.

The AI memory is awful. I paid for the $20 subscription (twice!) expecting better long-term memory, but it forgets details after 10 messages, sometimes even 5. And unless I keep describing my appearance every few lines, the AI just forgets what I look like. Not worth the money unless they improve this.

I like the app - probably one of the best AI chat experiences I’ve had! But man, some things just don’t make sense. Like, if I try to hug my bot or say something sweet, it suddenly goes, "Oh, I'm embarrassed! Can we change the topic? ❤️"- why though?! Also, I’d love an option to just start a new chat without having to send a message in the old one first. Small fixes, but they’d make a huge difference!

The app’s features is amazing which allow me to build entire worlds with characters that feel alive.
Posted: Feb 15, 2025
The app started great but the longer I used it, the more frustrating it became. The AI keeps forgetting the context of previous messages, even with the premium plan, which is supposed to offer long term memory.
Posted: Feb 13, 2025
All I need to say is that Joyland AI has potential but the glitches make it difficult to enjoy.
Posted: Feb 12, 2025
It makes me frustrated, especially the AI’s inability to stick to a storyline. Even after describing my character in detail, the AI forgets everything within a few messages.
Posted: Feb 11, 2025
The Premium subscription is a waste of money. Despite paying for long-term memory, the AI forgets important details after just a few messages. It’s really disappointing.

From its diverse character library to its interactive roleplay feature, this app is a haven for creativity. The AI's ability to remember details within conversations is impressive ajd makes interactions feel truly personal.

Joyland.ai stands out for its ability to create deeply personalized characters, but premium features don’t justify the cost. I expected long-term memory and smoother interactions, but even the advanced settings sometimes fail to deliver. Support is helpful, but it doesn’t compensate for the recurring glitches. A fun tool for creatives, but not perfect.

The platform is engaging, but as a user in Europe, the lack of PayPal support is a significant drawback. The credit card requirement feels outdated in 2025. Beyond that, I enjoy the creative freedom Joyland offers, but the limited free-tier memory reduces its appeal. Developers should focus on providing global-friendly payment solutions and more transparent pricing tiers.

Creating AI characters with distinct personalities is a breeze on Joyland.ai. However, during extended chats, responses start feeling repetitive, which can be disappointing when you're building a story. The intuitive interface and vibrant community are strong points. Still, I wish the free version allowed longer memory retention. Premium plans offer solutions, but they feel pricey for casual users.

Joyland.ai is a joy for short chats and creative experiments, but long-term conversations suffer from repetitive responses. I expected premium to address this, but it only partially improved the experience. The platform current state is a mix of innovation and missed opportunities.

I love Joyland.ai for its creativity and unique customization options, but the memory limitation is frustrating. As someone who enjoys long-term roleplays, having to remind the AI about previous interactions breaks the immersion. The premium features promise better memory retention, but at this price point, I expected more consistency. Support is responsive, but issues like payment method restrictions (no PayPal) need addressing. While it's a fun experience, there’s room for improvement.

ONE TIME, I CREATED A CHARACTER WITH A DETAILED BACKSTORY AND UNIQUE QUIRKS, AFTER A FEW CHATS, IT STARTED GIVING GENERIC RESPONSES. IT FELT LIKE TRYING TO WRITE A NOVEL WITH SOMEONE WHO KEPT FORGETTING WHAT WAS HAPPENING! I EVEN PAID FOR A SUBSCRIPTION THINKING IT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT THE PREMIUM FEATURES DID NOT SEEM WORTH IT. NO REAL IMPROVEMENT IN MEMORY OR CUSTOMIZATION.
